With Sly’s sister and family in the temple the group realize they’re running low on food. Mel explains, ‘hunting and gathering’ is beneath him and explaining he is busy with a slew of priority experiments before slamming the door (The first thing he crafted in the temple mostly likely for this effect). He did crack the door and request some food be brought up to him if we get new provisions, his work rarely gave him spare time to make food and his minions were horrific (last time they brought him a rock and two sticks on a plate). Sly opts to self induce the idea he is a master fishermen and crafts a net pulling up several pounds of bounty from the swamp. Unfortunately do to human faces on fish or humans with fish heads stuck in his net he opted to bring them on land push them into a pile and set them on fire since he deemed them mutants before Gara or Sin had a chance to get in a word. With thoughts of foraging farther from the temple Gara, Sin, and Sly opt to venture back up northeast to the river they came down on.
Along the way they ran into a beast, with a fight ensuing Gara and Sin use practiced moves slowly working the beast over to put it down when Sly snapped and stopped being as pathetic in combat, granted this gave him ample room to become even more idiotic by charging the beast when it lounged at him to eat him before sliding under the beast slashing at if from it’s underbelly repeatedly which was surprisingly effective. Filled with a panic educed rage while screaming he would not be eaten and turned into feces… again Sly dealt the final blow that killed the beast from underneath hitting it’s softer skinned belly several times with his sword. Oddly enough this collapsed the body on top of him sending him into even more blood lusting feat of carnage trying to hack his way out of the creature’s ‘belly’.
Gara and Sin knew Sly was back to normal since covered in the odd creatures innards, blood, and gore he opted to cut off the creature’s head, claws, tentacle tongues, and genital bit while giggling like a madman.
