With the creature out of the way and letting the robots know not to grow any more of the vegetables the creature seemed to be attracted by the party with their newly acquired gear started the trek towards the City of Akron.
With a path in the jungle the party thought it would be easier, unfortunately it was made by people about a foot or two tall and only about six inches wide. Hearing odd noises in the jungle was something the party expected until the ground shook and the group found themselves looking at something that looked like a cross between a rhino and a dinosaur clearing the jungle with a large blade type thing. With Mel in front of it asking if we should attack it Garra took to the treeline to evade or get a tactical advantage when it charged out from being provoked. Tootsie and Oliver tried to calm the beast but Oliver managed to get it to sneeze on him and Tootsie before moving on. Oliver dove on top of Tootsie the snot actually feeling and might have actually been lava since it melted the flesh on his back and the vegetation in the area.
With the crisis over and Oliver trying to walk off the pain the party continued with Mel finding what he thought was possibly a hub interface for the electrical cables that seemed to run through the jungle. Oddly enough he stated he had found Agent Manners in a camp on the out skirting lands around the Jungle.
Eventually the party continued making their way to Akron. Two new types of robots were seen one moving rapidly towards Mel’s two robots. As one bolted behind Mel the other away from Mel farther away from the advancing robot. Seeing it was focused on the robot specifically and not that tall Oliver simply picked up the robot finding them to be surprisingly heavy at around 50 pounds.
With the rest of the city coming alive in defense it seemed the other type of robot looking more like reapers were poised to attack. Oliver stating they should stand down since the party were the Guardians of the Garden and in search of The Gardener they did pause. When someone accused Mel of necromancy everyone looked at him and raised an eyebrow. When proof was requested they pointed at his two robots since he had made two ‘soulless’ robots. What followed was an case of Mel explaining himself and trying to not get his robots taken away and himself killed for his grievous crimes.
The matter was settled with Mel being able to keep his robots at least until he rescued the Gardener, his accuser though would come along as proxy and chaperone for the well being and to ensure the civil liberties of the two robots were not violated any further.
Their trek to the river that they could use to get to the temple the quickest had the group encounter a group of children, Oliver seemed to know that they were the “Immortals” although looking more like children he explained fighting them would probably end badly. While not being able to communicate then them the party got close with thoughts of stealing their boat. What happened next basically started off with good intentions and eventually boiled down to a brawl.
After killing the locals they group opted to take their gear and boat and move down stream a ways since they were less seeable. Oliver worked on crafting stabilizers for the boat due to the amount of people and weight. The next day the group found the work Oliver did to be decent, with Mel having made life jackets just in case.
The trip down the river went sideways quite quickly when the party noticed large birds eyeing them before letting out a screech and chasing them down the shoreline as more came to join in, more seemed to form into a mob on the other shore as well with Oliver staying in the middle and pushing the boat as fast as he could. Seeing a village in the middle of the river made things worse. Oliver tried to move through as quickly as possible. What followed was a lot of arrows being shot at them before the flock of predator birds fell on the village since they weren’t moving down the river rapidly.
Oliver stopped the boat along the shore in site of one of the gates out of the jungle. With the journey over all they had to do was go to the Temple and get the Gardener…how hard could that be?
